Xbox Series S/X Announcement: New Console Options Unveiled at Xbox Games Showcase
Microsoft shook the gaming world with the recent announcement of three new Xbox Series S/X console options at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9. The new configurations comprise a 1TB SSD storage variant of the Xbox Series S in Robot White, an all-digital Xbox Series X, and a deluxe 2TB Xbox Series X Special Edition in Galaxy Black. These fresh console variations are set to hit select markets later this year during the holiday season.
The tech giant, Xbox parent Microsoft, has yet to disclose specifics regarding availability and regional pricing for the new Xbox Series S/X variants. In a statement, Microsoft hinted at forthcoming updates in the coming months where they will divulge information on market availability and regional Estimated Retail Pricing (ERP) when they share pre-order details.
According to Microsoft, the new console variants will uphold the speed and performance of current Xbox Series S/X models while offering innovative designs, storage solutions, and pricing options. Notably, the all-digital Xbox Series X is priced lower than its traditional counterpart with a disc drive.
Xbox Series S – 1TB in Robot White
Initially released with 512GB storage in Robot White, the Xbox Series S received a storage boost last year with a 1TB option in Carbon Black. Now, Microsoft is expanding the storage capacity for the Robot White variant. The Xbox Series S 1TB in Robot White will be up for grabs in select markets for $349.99 or EUR 349.99 ERP. However, India pricing and availability remain unconfirmed at this point.

Xbox Series X – 1TB Digital Edition
Reports from the Microsoft vs. US FTC trial hinted at a digital version of the Xbox Series X last year. Subsequently, Microsoft has now officially confirmed the arrival of an all-digital Xbox Series X this year. The digital iteration of the console will feature 1TB SSD storage and will be presented in the Robot White colorway, a departure from the existing Carbon Black models. Priced at $449.99 or EUR 499.99 ERP, this digital variant undercuts the disc version of the Series X, priced at $499.99.

Xbox Series X – 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition
In a bold move, Microsoft is introducing a special edition of the Xbox Series X in a striking Galaxy Black colorway, boasting an expanded 2TB storage capacity. The console showcases a unique silver, grey, and green celestial effect, complemented by a black base color and a green stand. The exclusive Galaxy Black Special Edition Xbox Series X will be released in limited quantities in select markets for $599.99 or EUR 649.99 ERP.
