Modernizing Sports Infrastructure: PM Modi’s Vision for Varanasi

Varanasi, PM Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency, will witness the development of a modern and world-class sports infrastructure with the construction of an international cricket stadium. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has stated that this stadium, to be built in Ganjari, Rajatalab, will cover an area of over 30 acres with a projected cost of ₹450 crore.

Inspired by the architectural beauty of Lord Shiva, the cricket stadium will showcase designs featuring crescent-shaped roof covers, trident-shaped floodlights, and ghat steps-based seating arrangements. With a seating capacity of 30,000 spectators, this stadium will serve as a major landmark in Varanasi’s sports landscape.

Quality Education Access: Introduction of Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya

Recognizing the importance of quality education for all, particularly the children of laborers, construction workers, and those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, PM Modi has initiated the establishment of 16 “Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya” across Uttar Pradesh. These residential schools, built at a cost of ₹1,115 crore, aim to provide holistic development and quality education to students.

Spread across 10-15 acres, each school comprises classrooms, sports grounds, recreational areas, a mini auditorium, hostel complex, mess, and residential flats for the staff. Eventually, these schools will be able to accommodate 1,000 students each, paving the way for accessible and inclusive education in the region.

Celebrating Cultural Vibrancy: Kashi Sansad Sanskritik Mahotsav

The Kashi Sansad Sanskritik Mahotsav was conceptualized to strengthen the cultural vibrancy of Varanasi, a city known for its rich heritage and artistic traditions. This vibrant festival saw the enthusiastic participation of more than 37,000 people across 17 disciplines, displaying their skills in singing, playing musical instruments, “nukkad natak,” and dancing, among other art forms.
