BJP’s 35 Candidates for Telangana Elections: Third List Released

The Telangana BJP has just released the third list of candidates for the upcoming State Assembly Elections 2023. The list was made public through a press release by the national general secretary, Arun Singh, on Thursday. The names had been cleared by the Central Election Committee presided over by national president J.P. Nadda the day before. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and other high-profile party members were present at the committee meeting as well.

Telangana BJP Releases Its Third List of Candidates

This recent list features 35 candidates from various backgrounds vying for seats in the state assembly elections. Fourteen candidates come from the Backward Classes, 11 candidates from the Reddy community, five from the Scheduled Castes (SCs), three from the Scheduled Tribes (STs), and one candidate each from the Brahmin and Velama communities.

Candidates from Diverse Backgrounds Make the List

Among the prominent candidates are NVSS Prabhakar, the state vice president and former MLA from Uppal. Former Ministers Marri Shashidhar Reddy, Krishna Yadav, Chittaranjan Das, P. Babu Mohan, and K.S. Ratnam have also been selected. Banda Kartikha Reddy, the former Mayor, had hopes of securing the Secunderabad constituency ticket but was disappointed to find Mekala Sarangapani get the ticket instead. Other candidates on the list include V Raghunath, Ajmeera Athmaram Naik, V Mohan Reddy, E. Laxminarayana, Dinesh K., C. Sunil Reddy, P. Vijay Kumar, J. Sangappa, Ramachandraraju Narasimha, S. Ranga Reddy, T. Srinivas Reddy, B. Maruthi Kiran, Poosa Raju, S. Surender Reddy, L. Deepak Reddy, K. Rathang Pandu Reddy, Jalandhar Reddy, D. Satish Madiga, A. Babaiah, K. Lalu Naik, Ch. Srilatha Reddy, M. Srinivas Goud, P. Srinivas, Dr. P. Kali Prasad Rao, P. Balraju, N. Ravikumar, and Ramalingeswara Rao.

Previous Releases and Future Expectations

The Telangana BJP had previously released 52 names on October 22 and another single name in the second instance. With the release of this third list, the BJP is making significant progress in finalizing their candidates for the state assembly elections.
