Are you ready to step into a world where colours cease to exist? At Jalato’s experience centre on Radha Krishnan Salai in Chennai, you can now immerse yourself in a colourless environment that is bound to intrigue and captivate your senses. The room at Jalato’s centre has the power to strip everything in sight of its colour, leaving behind a monotone setting that challenges your perception of the world. But don’t worry, this experience is far from depressing. Instead, it invites you to embark on a journey like no other, where you will discover the beauty of painting without colour.

Discover the Enigma of “Dude! Where’s The Colour?”

Created by Indrajala Moturi Kandimalla, Jalato is a hub of unique and immersive experiences that aim to ignite curiosity and spark the imagination. One of their most popular offerings, “Dude! Where’s The Colour?”, is an experience that challenges participants to paint without the traditional use of colour. The room at Jalato is equipped with a table adorned with aprons, square-shaped canvases, paint brushes, palettes, paper tapes, and bottles of colour that have all mysteriously assumed a monotone identity.

Indrajala shares, “It’s fun seeing people trying to figure out the colours. We call this experience Dude! Where’s The Colour?”. She goes on to explain that at Jalato, their mission is to continuously offer new and unique experiences every six months, all crafted from scratch. Building each concept involves months of product testing, and they even go the extra mile to trademark everything they create.

Unleash Your Creativity and Embrace the Magic of Uncertainty

Once you apron up and settle into the hour-long session at Jalato, their experienced specialists will guide you through valuable tips and tricks to enhance your painting skills. Though you may choose to use multiple colours, they will all appear the same until the big reveal at the end. As the lights come on, your canvas will be transformed, covered in vibrant shades of blue, red, yellow, purple, and white. What you once assumed to be green paint can turn out to be purple, while the white may actually be yellow. The magic lies in the uncertainty of the experience.
