Rachel McAdams in Talks to Star in Sam Raimi’s Horror-Thriller
Rachel McAdams is reportedly in early discussions to headline Sam Raimi’s upcoming horror-thriller film, Send Help, as per Deadline. The project, to be directed and produced by Raimi under 20th Century Studios, is set on an isolated island, echoing themes from classics like Misery and Castaway.
Exciting Collaboration and Anticipated Buzz
Although the project is awaiting an official green light from the studio, Raimi’s involvement has already stirred significant excitement. The screenplay, crafted by Baywatch writers Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, promises a gripping, character-driven horror narrative. Zainab Azizi is also attached as a producer under the Raimi Productions banner, with theatrical release plans in the pipeline.
McAdams, celebrated for her diverse performances in films like Spotlight, The Notebook, and Mean Girls, has previously collaborated with Raimi on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
