Glen Powell Reunites with Ryan Murphy for Broadway Musical

Actor Glen Powell is teaming up with his “Scream Queens” creator Ryan Murphy for an upcoming Broadway musical. Powell, known for his role in the popular romantic comedy “Anyone But You”, expressed his excitement about working with Murphy again, describing the show as having aged like fine wine. “Ryan Murphy and I, we’re actually making a musical together. We don’t really have any plans to be back in the television world together, but we’ll be on Broadway together,” Powell revealed in an interview with Vogue.

Scream Queens and Its Enduring Popularity

Powell rose to fame with his role in “Scream Queens”, a series that also featured Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, Lea Michele, and Jamie Lee Curtis. The show, which aired from 2015 to 2016, revolved around a college sorority facing a series of mysterious murders. Powell mentioned, “The amount of people that come up to me about ‘Scream Queens’ is shocking, probably more than anything else I’ve done. Maybe it ages like a fine wine.”

A New Project with Richard Linklater

Aside from reuniting with Ryan Murphy, Powell also collaborated with “Everybody Wants Some!!” filmmaker Richard Linklater. The duo co-wrote “Hit Man”, inspired by a true story. Powell shared his aspirations, revealing that he’s hoping to “write something with Edgar Wright, Bradley Cooper, and Ben Stiller” in the future.
