Abstract Alchemy: A Fusion of Form and Color at Rang Mirage Gallery
The Abstract Alchemy exhibition at Rang Mirage Art Gallery brings together emerging and seasoned artists to showcase different styles of abstract work. Curated by Adhvika Agarwal, the exhibition features the works of nine artists, each presenting a unique canvas connected through the theme of non-representational art.
Exploring Emotions Through Abstract Art
Adhvika describes abstract art as a medium to evoke a plethora of emotions in the observer without a distinguishable form. One of the notable artworks in the exhibition is “New Beginning” by Mahesh M Karembele, which transports the viewer to a seashore with a vivid sunset in the background. This painting showcases the diversity of interpretations that abstract art can generate, highlighting its magic and beauty as an art form.
Inspiration Behind the Artworks
Artist Bhola Rana draws inspiration from his roots in Jharkhand, reflected in his painting “Black Diamond” symbolizing coal mining tragedies. Rana’s use of red and black colors illustrates the dangers faced by coal miners due to frequent fires. Another piece, “Glimpse of Nature” by Renu Jain, explores urbanization’s impact on natural landscapes through a reverse painting style, offering viewers a multi-layered understanding of the continuous transformation of our surroundings.
The Dedication and Hard Work of Artists
Keerti Agarwal emphasizes the dedication and effort behind each artwork, dispelling the notion of random brushstrokes by highlighting the days or months of work that contribute to the final piece. The exhibition’s co-inaugurators, Nawal Kishore and Manisha Gawade, believe that art and culture can evoke positivity in a world filled with turmoil. They stress the value of abstract art in stimulating creativity and healing, comparing its formless nature to the soothing song of a cuckoo.

The Abstract Alchemy exhibition also features works by Bipin Roy, Deepak Sonar, Vivek Nimbolkar, Kishor Roy, Gopal Namjoshi, and Rajesh Baderia. These artists contribute to the diverse range of artworks that elevate different natural spaces into a realm of magical artistic expressions. The artworks on display offer visitors a unique perspective on contemporary art and the beauty of abstract interpretations.
