A Tribute Through Art: Aasha Radhika’s Mystical Journey
Hyderabad-based artist Aasha Radhika recently unveiled her 25th solo exhibition titled “Svan: Mystical Wings & Eternal Tinkles” at the State Art Gallery. This heartfelt tribute to her late mother showcases approximately 70 acrylic and egg tempera paintings, each measuring 1 foot and 3/4 feet in size. These captivating pieces depict her memories and enchanting encounters with nature.

A recurring motif in Aasha’s art is ‘Svan,’ a bird symbolizing her family members—her father SV Anjaneyulu, mother Satyavani, and daughter Shivani. ‘Svan’ takes on various forms, such as a peachick, palapitta (The Indian Blue Jay), or a swan, depending on the narrative she seeks to convey and to infuse symmetry into her compositions. Juggling her role as a chief manager at the State Bank of India alongside her passion for art, Aasha finds purpose and fulfillment in her creative endeavors.
