Members of Parliament will finally move into the new Parliament House building in New Delhi on Tuesday, marking the second day of the special session. The building was inaugurated more than three months ago. Parliament Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi informed the floor leaders of various political parties about the move during an all-party meeting held by the government on the eve of the Special Session of Parliament, scheduled to take place from September 18 to 22.
Army jawan on leave abducted and murdered in Manipur
In a tragic incident, an Indian Army jawan was abducted and killed while on leave in Manipur. The body of Serto Thangthang Kom, 41, was discovered on September 17 in Khuningthek Village East of Mongjam, under the Sogolmang police station in Imphal East. Santiniketan finds a place on UNESCO’s World Heritage list
Santiniketan, a town situated in West Bengal’s Birbhum district, has been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The town, founded by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, made its way onto the list on September 17. Santiniketan, which means ‘abode of peace,’ began to develop in 1901 and eventually became the location where Tagore established the foundations of the renowned Visva Bharati University.
Heavy rain in Gujarat, 10,000 people shifted

Army likely to complete inducting 114 Dhanush guns by 2026
The Indian Army has placed an order for 114 Dhanush artillery guns and is expecting to receive all of them by 2026, as per defence sources. Currently, one regiment is already operational. The Army is also focusing on increasing the range of the Pinaka Multi-Rocket Launch Systems (MRLS) and is working on the induction of the Pralay surface-to-surface quasi-ballistic missile.
