International Air Carriers Temporarily Suspend Flights to Israel
Following the Hamas militant attack on Israel, several international air carriers have made the decision to suspend flights to Tel Aviv. The carriers, including U.S. airlines United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines, as well as Air France, are waiting for the situation to improve before resuming their services.
Impact on U.S. Air Carriers
The U.S. airlines, which typically operate direct flights from major metropolitan areas such as New York, Chicago, Washington, DC, and Miami, have announced the suspension of their direct flights to Tel Aviv.
United Airlines Statement
In a statement, United Airlines confirmed that they had operated two scheduled flights from Israel to the United States on late Saturday and early Sunday. However, the airline stated that service would remain suspended “until conditions allow them to resume.”
Delta Airlines Monitoring the Situation
Representatives from Delta Airlines stated that they are closely monitoring the situation and making necessary adjustments to their flight schedules. Currently, flights have been cancelled for the remainder of the week.
